Domaine de Pignan
Vineyards between 80 and 130 years old
Terroir: Clayey – calcareous soil and rolled pebbles.
“It displays an attractive bouquet of black cherry fruit, loamy soil and foresty aromas in addition to plenty of glycerin, body and freshness. There is no evidence of oak as the wine is aged primarily in founder.” Robert Parker 89/100
Tasting Notes: Rocking purple color.
Generous wine, combining sweet to strength and fullness to power. We have a real pot-pourri of fruity aromas such as blackcurrant, Morello cherry, raspberry, cherry and strawberry.
On the palate silky and well ripe tannins. Flavours of blackberry and cinnamon, overtones of toasting and peanut beans vanilla flavoured at the end.
