Exedra (Amphorae) –  DO Catalunya

100%  Grenache –  14,5% Vol.

The grapes used to make Exedra are grown on calcareous clay soils. The vines used are situated in the municipality of Ódena at altitudes of between 450-650 metres. The vineyards are cultivated organically, with the intention of respecting the local ecosystem as much as possible.

The harvest is carried out manually to ensure that only the best bunches are selected and they are not damaged during the process. After being transported to the winery, the grapes then undergo alcoholic fermentation partially in amphorae, partially in tanks. Following this, the juice of Puiggròs Exedra undergoes a light maceration.

Tasting Note:

Cherry red color with brilliant tones.

Expressive nose. Intense raspberry with aroma of forest fruits and subtle notes of spices and toffee.

In the palate is elegant and harmonious. Very good acidity

Excellent pairing with game meat, pasta, rice, blue fish, stews and cured cheeses.
